#20RB Bam Knight QuestionableConcussion · Concussion
Updated

Knight (concussion) did not practice Wednesday, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

Knight is in concussion protocol after playing just 18 offensive snaps in last Sunday's overtime win over the Cowboys. With Jeremiyah Love (ankle) headed to injured reserve and out for at least the next four weeks, Knight figures to have a key backfield role alongside Tyler Allgeier, but it might be a challenge for Knight to gain clearance for Sunday's game against Seattle.

#14WR Michael Wilson QuestionableRibs · Fracture
Updated

Wilson (rest/ribs) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

After Wilson continued to wear a yellow non-contact jersey at Wednesday's session, his ensuing activity level mimics what transpired last week, when he initially donned the jersey. He relayed after this past Sunday's win at Dallas that he has two broken ribs, but the addition of rest on the injury report this week indicates he's preparing to continue to play through the issue. Friday's practice report will reveal if Wilson has a designation for Sunday's game in Seattle.

#66OT Jayden Williams QuestionableKnee
Updated

Williams (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

With Williams done for the day, Josh Fryar has taken over at left tackle. The Cardinals should have an update on Williams after Sunday's game once the rookie seventh-rounder undergoes more tests.

#74G Isaiah Adams IRAnkle
Estimated return Nov 8 Updated

Adams (ankle) was designated to return from injured reserve by the Cardinals on Wednesday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Adams has been on IR since Oct. 10 while recovering from an ankle injury, but he had his 21-day practice window opened by Arizona on Wednesday. The offensive lineman will now either be activated from IR in that time frame or remain sidelined for the rest of the year.

#6RB James Conner IRFoot (right) · Surgery
Estimated return Nov 15 Updated

Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur said Tuesday that Conner (foot) won't return from IR this week, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

Though LaFleur said last week that Conner could "potentially" play this season, that won't happen in Week 9. The veteran running back continues to work his way back from a right foot injury and has not yet been cleared to practice. Arizona is dealing with multiple injuries in its backfield, including Jeremiyah Love (ankle) and Bam Knight (concussion), so Conner could provide a big boost once he's able to work his way back this week. Instead, the team will turn to Tyler Allgeier to lead its backfield, with Evan Hull serving as his primary backup if Knight is unable to suit up Sunday against Seattle.

#4RB Jeremiyah Love IRAnkle (right) · Sprain
Estimated return Dec 6 Updated

Arizona placed Love (ankle) on injured reserve Tuesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Love's move to IR was fully expected, after Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported earlier Tuesday that the rookie first-round pick was diagnosed with a right high-ankle sprain and was facing a projected recovery timeline of 4-to-5 weeks. While Love is on the mend, Tyler Allgeier is expected to step into a lead role out of the Arizona backfield beginning with the team's Week 9 game against Seattle.

#17WR Kendrick Bourne IRLower Leg (right) · Fracture
Out for the season Updated

Arizona placed Bourne (tibia) on injured reserve Tuesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Though Bourne is expected to avoid surgery after fracturing his right tibia during Sunday's 33-30 overtime win over the Cowboys, he's facing an expected recovery timeline of three months that effectively ends his season. With Bourne heading to IR, the Cardinals signed Harrison Wallace off their practice squad to replenish their depth at receiver. The 31-year-old Bourne will finish the 2026 campaign with 26 receptions for 263 yards and no touchdowns on 38 targets over eight appearances.

#86WR Jalen Brooks IRWrist · Surgery
Out for the season Updated

The Cardinals placed Brooks (wrist) on injured reserve Tuesday.

The transaction comes after Brooks announced earlier in the day that he underwent season-ending wrist surgery. Brooks saw light snaps through the first four weeks of the season, but he stepped in as the Cardinals' No. 3 wideout for the past three games after Marvin Harrison was traded to the Texans. The 26-year-old will finish the 2026 campaign with five receptions for 81 yards on 17 targets to go with 499 yards on 19 kickoff returns.

#87TE Tip Reiman OutAnkle (right)
Estimated return Nov 8 Updated

Head coach Mike LaFleur stated he's "not too sure" if Reiman (ankle) will play this season, Dani Sureck of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Reiman hasn't played this season and is currently on the reserve/PUP list. While there haven't been any updates on when the 25-year-old will be back on the field, it appears the door isn't fully closed regarding his return before the end of the 2026 campaign. Reiman has appeared in 21 regular-season games for the Cardinals since being drafted in the third round in the 2024 NFL Draft, amassing nine catches for 55 yards.

#70OT Paris Johnson Jr. IRBiceps (left) · Surgery
Out for the season Updated

The Cardinals placed Johnson (biceps) on injured reserve Tuesday.

The moves comes after Johnson was diagnosed with a torn left biceps that he sustained toward the end of the Cardinals' Week 4 loss to the Giants. He'll spend the rest of the 2026 season on IR and aim to be fully healthy for the start of the 2027 campaign, which will be the final year of his rookie contract. Jayden Williams will be the starting left tackle for now, with Josh Fryar and the recently acquired Jedrick Wills (signed from the Bills' practice squad) providing depth at the position in Johnson's absence.

#89TE Hunter Long IRKnee
Estimated return Nov 8 Updated

The Cardinals placed Long (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday.

Long left Sunday's game against the Giants due to a knee injury, which is severe enough for the sixth-year pro to go on injured reserve. As such, Long will be required to miss at least the next four games, so Week 9 against the Seahawks on Sunday, Nov. 8 is the earliest he is eligible to return. In order to add more depth at tight end behind Trey McBride and Elijah Higgins, the Cardinals signed 2022 fifth-rounder Teagan Quitoriano from the practice squad to the active roster.

#2CB Will Johnson IRNeck
Out for the season Updated

The Cardinals placed Johnson (neck) on injured reserve Wednesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

Johnson suffered a neck injury in the 31-7 loss to the Seahawks in Week 2. He was placed on injured reserve, so he is guaranteed to miss at least four games. However, the 23-year-old isn't expected to play again this season. If that's the case, he will finish the year with eight total tackles (three solo), one fumble recovery and one pass defended. Without Johnson, Garrett Williams (Achilles), who has yet to play this season, could take on a larger role upon his return. Max Melton (toe), Kei'Trel Clark and Starling Thomas, the latter who was promoted from the practice squad, may also be more involved.

#90DT Zachary Carter IRKnee
Estimated return Nov 8 Updated

The Cardinals placed Carter (knee) on injured reserve Sunday with a designation to return, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

Carter will be forced to miss at least the first four games of the regular season due to a knee injury he sustained in training camp practice in early August. With rookie fourth-rounder Kaleb Proctor (knee) out for the entire season, Andrew Billings, L.J. Collier and Keveion'ta Spears will serve as the Cardinals' rotational defensive tackles behind Roy Lopez and Walter Nolen for as long as Carter is sidelined.

#33RB Trey Benson IRKnee
Out for the season Updated

Benson (knee) reverted to the Cardinals' injured reserve list Tuesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Benson underwent surgery in early October last year for a meniscus injury he suffered in the Cardinals' Week 4 loss to the Seahawks, but after returning the running back could never get right and he had trouble staying on the practice field. The 24-year-old's struggles, combined with the Cardinals' crowded running back room, caused him to be placed on waivers to begin the week, and there were no takers. If he can fix his knee troubles he could negotiate an injury settlement in an attempt to find another team to play for in 2026.

#22RB Tyler Allgeier Cleared
Updated

Allgeier is slated to work as Arizona's No. 1 running back beginning with Sunday's game at Seattle after Jeremiyah Love (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

After previously leading the Cardinals backfield when Love was sidelined due to a different ankle injury Weeks 6 and 7, Allgeier is now slated for a longer run atop the depth chart while Love is projected to miss 4-to-5 weeks due to a right high-ankle sprain. Love sustained his latest ankle injury late in the first quarter of Sunday's overtime win over the Cowboys, with his early exit clearing the way for Allgeier to run wild. Allgeier finished with a career-high 147 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries along with 44 yards and another score on five receptions. In addition to Love getting hurt, Bam Knight sustained a concussion and is uncertain to play Week 9 against Seattle, so the backfield could belong to Allgeier, Evan Hull and a practice-squad signee (likely Jerome Ford). Though Allgeier found substantial success in Week 8, he came into the contest averaging just 2.9 yards per carry on 61 totes. He'll also be facing a Seattle defense that is tied for the second-fewest yards per carry (3.8) allowed to running backs this season, so a repeat performance by Allgeier would be surprising.

#16CB Max Melton Cleared
Updated

Melton (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

Melton was inactive for the Week 7 meeting with the Broncos. While he was listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Dallas after logging three limited practice sessions during the week, he has since been cleared to suit up, likely resulting in fewer snaps for Kalen King.

#28S Andrew Wingard Cleared
Updated

Wingard (knee) is active for Sunday's game versus the Cowboys, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

Wingard has been battling a bone bruise in his knee. While it didn't result in a stint on injured reserve, it kept him off the field for Arizona's last three contests. Now that Wingard is available to return in Week 8, it will likely mean fewer snaps for Dadrion Taylor-Demerson.

#1LB Mack Wilson Sr. Cleared
Updated

Wilson (knee) does not have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Wilson's practice reps were limited due to a knee injury, but the veteran linebacker's full practice Friday was enough for him to fade an injury tag for Sunday's road game. The 2019 fifth-rounder has 47 tackles (20 solo), one pass defense and one forced fumble through seven regular-season games.

#3S Budda Baker Cleared
Updated

Baker logged two tackles (one solo) during Sundays' 30-16 loss to Denver.

Baker was cleared to play against the Broncos after nursing a groin injury and an illness during Week 7 prep. He was on the field for 59 of the Cardinals' 61 defensive snaps (96.7 percent), but his two stops were a season low. The veteran safety is up to 44 tackles (25 solo), including a career-best 3.5 sacks, and four pass defenses (including one interception) through seven regular-season games.

#50LB Jack Gibbens Cleared
Updated

Gibbens recorded seven tackles (four solo) in a 30-16 loss to the Broncos on Sunday.

Gibbens' 41 defensive snaps were a season low, but the fifth-year linebacker still led the Cardinals in tackles. He's posted at least seven stops in six of seven regular-season games and is up to 49 tackles (21 solo), including 0.5 sacks, and one pass defense in 2026.
