#24CB Malik Muhammad II QuestionableToe
Updated

Muhammad (toe) was a limited participant at the Bears' walkthrough practice Wednesday.

Muhammad missed the team's Week 8 win over the Seahawks on Monday Night Football while nursing a toe injury that he suffered a week prior. The cornerback has now picked up where he left off at practice last week, logging a fourth straight limited session, and he will have two more chances to practice in full before Sunday's contest versus the Buccaneers.

#25RB Kyle Monangai QuestionableToe · Sprain
Updated

Monangai (thumb/toe) didn't participate in Wednesday's walkthrough.

Monangai continues to be listed as a DNP due to the turf-toe injury that's held him out of the last four games. It doesn't bode well for his odds to return to action Sunday against the Buccaneers that he remains sidelined, and the Bears have a Week 10 bye, so the team may be focused on getting him healthy for the final eight contests of the campaign. D'Andre Swift will continue to lead Chicago's backfield for as long as Monangai is out, with Roschon Johnson picking up the scraps behind Swift.

#50DE Grady Jarrett QuestionableGroin
Updated

Jarrett (groin) is doubtful to return to Monday night's game against the Seahawks.

The veteran defensive tackle recorded one tackle prior to his departure in the fourth quarter. Neville Gallimore and Shemar Turner will help close the game out alongside Jeffery Simmons.

#93DT Kentavius Street IRKnee (left)
Out for the season Updated

The Bears placed Street (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday, Adam Jahns of AllCHGO.com reports.

Street was injured in Monday night's win over the Seahawks and had to be carted to the locker room. He's now expected to miss the remainder of the 2026 season. Fellow DT Grady Jarrett (groin) was also injured in Seattle, making the move for Jeffery Simmons that much more important for Chicago.

#70OT Braxton Jones IRKnee (right) · Surgery
Out for the season Updated

Jones (knee) is out for the rest of the season, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Jones underwent right knee surgery Tuesday, and as a result, he will be forced to miss the remainder of the 2026 campaign. In his absence, Theo Benedet (shoulder) will continue to operate as the team's primary option at left tackle moving forward.

#2S Coby Bryant IRKnee (left) · Surgery
Estimated return Dec 19 Updated

Coach Ben Johnson said Wednesday that Bryant (knee) will start running again in the "near future," Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.

Johnson said that Bryant's timeline for return is still indefinite, but it looks like a possibility he could be back on the field as soon as December or January. He is recovering from a knee surgery he underwent back in August after he suffered a hyperextension during training camp. Per Cronin, he is still on a four- to six-month timeline to return.

#85TE Cole Kmet IRKnee (right)
Out for the season Updated

The Bears placed Kmet (knee) on injured reserve Friday.

Kmet suffered a season-ending right knee injury during the fourth quarter of the Bears' 30-24 win over the Patriots on Thursday. Even with the emergence of Colston Loveland, Kmet was still a key piece in Chicago's offense as a run blocker, and he'll end his 2026 regular season with a 10-87-1 receiving line (on 14 targets) across seven games. Rookie third-rounder Sam Roush is the only other healthy tight end on the 53-man roster other than Loveland, so the Bears could look to bolster the position group by trade or free agency.

#55DE Dayo Odeyingbo IRQuadriceps
Estimated return Nov 22 Updated

The Bears placed Odeyingbo (quadriceps) on injured reserve Saturday.

Odeyingbo had already been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Falcons, and he'll now be required to miss at least the next four contests. The 27-year-old is second on the team with 3.0 sacks this season. His placement on injured reserve coupled with Montez Sweat's PED suspension is a big hit to the Bears' pass rush.

#43TE Hayden Large IRUndisclosed
Estimated return Nov 8 Updated

The Bears placed Large (undisclosed) on injured reserve Tuesday.

Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports general manager Ryan Poles stated the Bears will "remain flexible" on both Large and safety Coby Bryant (knee) as they manage their injuries. Large must spend at least four regular-season games on IR before becoming eligible to return to the team's 53-man roster. The status of the tight end's injury still remains unclear, so it is uncertain if he will need longer to recover.

#47LB Ruben Hyppolite II IRShoulder
Out for the season Updated

Hyppolite (shoulder) reverted to Chicago's injured reserve Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Hyppolite is dealing with a shoulder injury that he picked up during the Bears' second preseason game against the Browns on Aug. 15. He was waived/injured by Chicago on Sunday, but he was moved to IR on Monday after going unclaimed. Hyppolite will be forced to sit for the entire 2026 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the Bears.

#43LB Tony Fields II IRUndisclosed
Estimated return Nov 8 Updated

The Bears placed Fields (undisclosed) on injured reserve Sunday with a designation to return.

Fields is set to be the primary backup edge rusher for the Bears in 2026. The linebacker signed with the Bears in June after being out of the league in 2025. As a result of Sunday's transaction, Fields will now need to wait at least another four regular-season games to see any game action.

#38RB Brittain Brown IRUndisclosed
Out for the season Updated

Brown (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve by the Bears on Sunday.

Brown signed a reserve/future contract with Chicago in January, and he turned 14 carries into 22 yards while also catching four of five targets for 22 yards and a score during the preseason. The running back is dealing with an undisclosed injury, and he is now set to miss the entire season while on IR, unless he can reach an injury settlement with the team.

#45LB Nephi Sewell IRConcussion · Concussion
Out for the season Updated

The Bears placed Sewell (concussion) on injured reserve Tuesday.

Sewell was fighting a losing battle to make the 53-man roster before his injury, so season-ending injury reserve for a concussion is no surprise. The linebacker will now spend the entirety of the 2026 regular season on IR unless he is waived with an injury settlement.

#48LB D'Marco Jackson Cleared
Updated

Jackson (ankle) is active for Monday night's game against the Seahawks.

Jackson was listed as questionable Saturday after returning to full practice participation. The outside linebacker is now set to suit up opposite Devin Bush as the Bears look to slow down the defending champions.

#57LB Jack Sanborn Cleared
Updated

Sanborn (concussion) does not carry an injury designation into Monday's game against the Seahawks.

Sanborn was unable to play against the Patriots in Week 7 due to a concussion, but he was a full participant in all three practices of Week 8 prep, and he has cleared the league's protocol after passing an evaluation from an independent neurologist. He has four tackles (three solo) across six regular-season games while serving mostly on special teams.

#53LB T.J. Edwards Cleared
Updated

Edwards (hamstring) does not have an injury designation for Monday's tilt against the Seahawks.

Edwards missed Chicago's previous two games after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 5 versus Green Bay. The veteran linebacker was able to log a trio of full practices this week, and he's set to return to game action Monday. Edwards logged every Bears defensive snap in each of the team's first four contests this season, so he should be set for a hearty workload against Seattle.
