Henry (foot) wasn't on the field for the media-access portion of Wednesday's practice, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Henry was unable to return to Sunday's 24-19 win over the Dolphins after exiting in the second quarter due to the foot issue. The Patriots haven't provided many details regarding the severity of the injury, but Henry will be sidelined as the team begins Week 9 prep. Henry will have two more chances to potentially practice this week before the Patriots decide whether he'll take a designation into Sunday's game against the Packers.
Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel said that Henderson (illness) won't practice Wednesday, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.
Henderson also didn't practice this past Thursday and Friday, and then missed the Patriots' Week 8 win over the Dolphins. The running back's absence to begin Week 9 prep suggests that he's no lock to play Sunday against the Packers, but Henderson's outlook on that front would no doubt improve with a return to the field within the next couple of days. While Henderson was sidelined in Miami, Rhamondre Stevenson paced New England's rushing attack, and Corey Kiner and Lan Larison mixed in behind him.
Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel said that Brown (knee/ankle) won't practice Wednesday, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.
Brown was sidelined for New England's Week 8 win over Miami, and with another absence from practice on tap, the wideout's status for Sunday's game against the Packers is cloudy. On the plus side for the Patriots, Mack Hollins (calf) could return from injured reserve this weekend to bolster a wideout corps that also includes DeMario Douglas, Efton Chism and Kyle Williams.
Jacas (knee) is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against Miami, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.
Jacas suffered a knee injury in the second half and he may now be forced to miss the final stretch of the game. In his absence, Elijah Ponder and Dre'Mont Jones will operate as the team's two primary options at outside linebacker versus the Dolphins.
Injured reserve and long term 12
Van Roten (thigh) was designated to return from injured reserve by New England on Wednesday, Matt Legros of Patriots Wire reports.
Van Roten has been on injured reserve since Sept. 29 while recovering from a thigh injury, and the team opened his 21-day practice window. If the offensive lineman is unable to be activated in that time frame, he will be forced to remain on IR for the rest of the year.
The Patriots are expected to designate Hollins (calf) for return from injured reserve Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Hollins' last game appearance came back in Week 4, but with his return to practice on the horizon, he could be an option for the Patriots as soon as this Sunday's game against the Packers. With Romeo Doubs (shoulder) currently on IR and A.J. Brown's (ankle/knee) availability for Week 9 looking cloudy, Hollins could have a chance at claiming a meaningful role right off the bat if he's cleared to play versus Green Bay. Prior to sustaining the calf injury, Hollins logged a 15-209-0 receiving line on 20 targets through New England's first four games.
Vera-Tucker (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve by the Patriots on Thursday.
Vera-Tucker suffered a hamstring injury in the team's Week 6 win over the Jets, and he will now be forced to miss at least four contests while recovering. In his absence, Walter Rouse will take over as the team's starting left tackle Thursday night versus the Bears.
Doubs (shoulder) is hopeful to return after the Patriots' Week 11 bye and isn't expected to face a long-term absence, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
With Doubs already on injured reserve, this report offers a more encouraging timeline after Sunday's shoulder injury. He'll still need to miss at least four games, but a possible return after the bye would keep the Patriots from being without one of their key wide receivers for an extended stretch. Efton Chism and Kyle Williams will be in line for increased snaps alongside A.J. Brown and slot man DeMario Douglas with Doubs sidelined.
The Patriots placed Gilliam (ankle/knee) on injured reserve Saturday, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.
Gilliam will be sidelined for a minimum of four games. The fullback has logged 58 offensive snaps through the first four weeks of the season, with another 39 on special teams.
Hutchins (knee) was placed on injured reserve Friday.
Hutchins appeared in both of the Patriots' first two games of the 2026 campaign, accumulating three total tackles. The rookie will now miss at least four games while tending to a knee injury. While Hutchins has played sparingly, his absence will still allow Gabe Jacas and Jose Ramirez to see a little more action.
The Patriots placed Pettus (ankle) on injured reserve Wednesday.
Pettus exited the second quarter of Sunday's 20-3 win over the Steelers with an ankle injury, and he'll now have to miss at least the next four games while on IR. With Craig Woodson (shoulder) also injured, the team will likely look to sign or elevate a player from the practice squad for Sunday's Week 3 matchup against the Jaguars.
The Patriots placed Onwenu (ankle) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Onwenu suffered a broken right ankle in the Patriots' win over the Steelers on Sunday, and he appears likely to miss the remainder of the 2026 season. Greg Van Roten is likely the next man up at right guard for New England.
The Patriots placed Jacobs (undisclosed) on injured reserve Monday.
Jacobs participated in the first two preseason games for the Patriots before succumbing to injury, accumulating eight tackles (four solo). The linebacker will need to miss the first four games of the regular season on IR before he is eligible to return to the active roster. While Jacobs is sidelined, Darius Muasau will likely be the first depth option behind starting inside linebackers Christian Elliss and Robert Spillane.
Landry (undisclosed) was moved to the reserve/PUP list by the Patriots on Sunday.
Landry spent the entirety of training camp and the preseason on the active/PUP list with an undisclosed injury. The 30-year-old will now be sidelined for at least four contests to open the 2026 campaign, and the earliest he'd be able to return to action is Week 5 against the Raiders on Oct. 11. In his absence, Elijah Ponder is a top candidate to start opposite of Dre'Mont Jones at outside linebacker.

The Patriots placed Hill (knee) on IR on Monday, Evan Lazar of the team's official site reports.
Hill joined the Patriots back in March on a three-year deal, but an unspecified injury now will sideline the tight end for the season. For now, Eli Raridon, CJ Dippre and Tanner Arkin are in the mix behind top TE Hunter Henry, but there's a solid chance the team will bring in added depth at the position in the wake of Hill's injury.

Bryant (ankle) was activated from injured reserve by the Patriots on Tuesday.
Bryant will return to action in Week 9 after spending the entirety of the regular season to this point on IR after suffering an ankle injury during the preseason. The 24-year-old will operate as a top reserve option behind Will Campbell and Morgan Moses at offensive tackle moving forward.
Elliss (chest) is active for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
Elliss has been cleared to play Sunday after working through a chest injury during Week 8 prep. He has 51 tackles (29 solo), including 1.0 sacks, one pass defense and one forced fumble through seven regular-season games.
Brown (knee) does not have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Brown was unable play against the Bears in Week 7 due to a knee injury. He's faded an injury tag for Sunday's game after logging a full practice Friday, and he should reclaim his starting spot at right guard.
