#11LB Jihaad Campbell QuestionableHamstring
Updated

Campbell (hamstring/quadriceps) did not participate at the Eagles' practice Wednesday.

Campbell was unable to play in the team's Week 8 loss to the Commanders while nursing hamstring and quadriceps injuries, and he appears to still be dealing with the injuries ahead of Week 9. The linebacker will have two more opportunities to return to practice prior to Sunday's matchup with the Giants.

#4PK Jake Elliott QuestionableAnkle
Updated

Elliott (ankle) was a limited participant at the Eagles' practice Wednesday.

Elliott opened the week with a limited session as a result of an apparent ankle issue. The kicker went 1-for-2 on field-goal attempts and made his only PAT try during the team's 27-10 loss to Washington in Week 8, and he may have picked up the ankle injury during the contest. Elliott will have two more chances to log a full practice before Sunday's matchup with the Giants.

#13WR Dontayvion Wicks QuestionableAnkle
Updated

Wicks (ankle) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice.

Wicks hasn't practiced due to an ankle injury since preparation for a Week 6 matchup with the Panthers, missing the last two games in the process. He likely will need to mix into drills in some capacity Thursday and/or Friday to put himself in a position to return to action Sunday versus the Giants.

#6WR DeVonta Smith QuestionableHamstring
Updated

Smith (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday.

Smith's lack of activity to kick off Week 9 prep doesn't come as a surprise, as he wasn't present during the media-access portion of Wednesday's session. He hasn't practiced since his last appearance in a Week 6 loss to the Panthers, when he went for seven catches (on 14 targets) for 75 yards and one touchdown. If he's able to put himself in a position to play Sunday against the Giants, Smith will be on the receiving end of passes from QB Joe Milton, who is replacing Tanner McKee as the starter.

#26RB Saquon Barkley QuestionableHamstring
Updated

Barkley (hamstring/back) officially didn't practice Wednesday.

Barkley's DNP to begin Week 9 prep was forecast by his lack of presence during the open portion of Wednesday's session. He continues to deal with the hamstring and back injuries that bothered him last week, but he still was able to play this past Sunday at Washington, log a 32 percent snap share and turn 14 touches into 54 yards from scrimmage and one TD. If he follows a similar practice regimen as last week, Barkley also will sit out Thursday before returning as a limited participant Friday.

#35CB Michael Carter II QuestionableAbdomen
Updated

Carter (abdomen) is questionable to return to Sunday night's contest against the Commanders.

Carter entered Week 8 questionable to play after missing the team's last two contests with an injured abdomen, and it's possible that he tweaked the injury during Sunday Night Football. In his absence, Kenny Moore is a top candidate to see an increase in opportunities at safety versus Washington.

#39RB Dameon Pierce IRUndisclosed
Estimated return Dec 6 Updated

The Eagles placed Pierce (undisclosed) on injured reserve Wednesday

Pierce thus is joining fellow RBs Tank Bigsby (abdomen) and Will Shipley (foot) on IR, leaving Saquon Barkley and Jaydon Blue as the only players at the position on the Eagles' active roster. Pierce made a late exit from Monday's loss to the Cowboys, which followed Barkley's own earlier departure due to a back issue. Pierce's health concern is enough for him to miss at least four contests, meaning his next chance for game action is Sunday, Dec. 6, in Arizona.

#1QB Jalen Hurts IRCalf (left)
Out for the season Updated

Hurts (calf) is expected to be held out of football activities for multiple months and miss the rest of the season after new imaging over the weekend revealed several blood clots in his lungs, Tom Pelissero of Netflix reports.

Initially diagnosed with a superficial blood clot after being cleated in the left calf in an Oct. 4 loss to the Rams, Hurts had been cleared by doctors to play in Week 5 in the Eagles' loss to the Jaguars in London before more recent testing last week showed that the blood clot had moved. According to a statement released Monday by his agent, Nicole Lynn, Hurts now has been diagnosed with a deep vein thrombosis in the left calf, as well as bilateral pulmonary emboli. Hurts has gone on blood thinners to treat the blood clots, and while his prognosis is good and he's not expected to face any long-term health effects, he won't be able to participate in football activities until he's off blood thinners. With that in mind, Hurts isn't expected to make a push for a late-season return from injured reserve and instead will turn his focus toward returning to full health in 2027. The Eagles will move forward with Tanner McKee, Cole Payton and Joe Milton as their options at quarterback.

#28RB Will Shipley IRFoot · Plantar Fasciitis
Estimated return Nov 22 Updated

The Eagles placed Shipley (foot) on injured reserve Friday.

After being diagnosed with a partial tear of his plantar fascia earlier this week, Shipley was slated for a multi-week absence, and he now will miss at least the next four games while on IR. He'll join Tank Bigsby (abdomen) on the list, and with Saquon Barkley currently tending to a lingering hamstring injury, the Eagles have just two healthy RBs (Dameon Pierce and Carson Steele) on the active roster. Shipley's next chance for game action is Sunday, Nov. 22 against the Steelers.

#8RB Tank Bigsby IRAbdomen · Surgery
Estimated return Nov 8 Updated

The Eagles placed Bigsby (abdomen) on injured reserve Tuesday, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.

Bigsby will undergo core muscle surgery for an abdominal injury that he picked up during the Eagles' Week 4 loss to the Rams. The fourth-year pro will be required to miss at least the next four games, so the earliest he can return is Week 9 against the Giants. Saquon Barkley (hamstring) is also considered week-to-week, so with Bigsby on IR, Will Shipley could be the Eagles' starting running back for Week 5 against the Jaguars on Sunday in London.

#32S Andre' Sam IRFoot (left)
Out for the season Updated

Sam (foot) reverted to the Eagles' injured-reserve list Monday, Andrew DiCecco of InsideTheBirds.com reports.

The Eagles waived Sam with an injury designation Sunday after he suffered a foot injury during Friday's preseason finale against the Bengals. The safety cleared waivers and will now spend the entirety of the 2026 regular season on IR unless he is waived with an injury designation.

#89WR Johnny Wilson IRKnee
Out for the season Updated

Wilson (knee) reverted to Philadelphia's injured reserve Saturday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Wilson was let go by Philadelphia on Friday but is set to return to the team after clearing waivers, albeit on injured reserve. The 25-year-old will now be forced to miss the entirety of the upcoming campaign unless he's waived with an injury settlement.

#37S Tucker Large OutUndisclosed
Out for the season Updated

Large reverted to Philadelphia's reserve/non-football injury list Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Large signed with the team as an undrafted free agent May 1 but ended up spending less than a week on their active roster. He will now miss at least the first four games of the regular season.

#3LB Nolan Smith Jr. Cleared
Updated

Smith (concussion) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Commanders.

Smith was a full participant in Friday's practice, and he was cleared from the league's concussion protocol after passing an evaluation by an independent neurologist. His return means less defensive snaps will be available for Jalyx Hunt, Arnold Ebiketie and A.J. Epenesa.

#33CB Cooper DeJean Cleared
Updated

DeJean recorded seven tackles (three solo) during Monday's 38-21 loss versus the Cowboys.

DeJean racked up seven-plus tackles for the third time this season in a Week 7 contest that saw Dallas run the ball 38 times. He's on pace for the first 100-tackle season of his career, putting him on the fringe of IDP consideration of some formats ahead of a Week 8 matchup at Washington.

#53LB Zack Baun Cleared
Updated

Baun recorded nine tackles (two solo) and a pass defensed during Monday's 38-21 loss versus the Cowboys.

Dallas' offense found a ton of success on the ground in Week 7, and its 38 rush attempts created plenty of tackling opportunities for Baun. He now has nine-plus tackles in four of his six games in 2026. He figures as a high-floor IDP option in some formats heading into a Week 8 tilt at Washington.

#69G Landon Dickerson Cleared
Updated

Dickerson (knee) was activated from injured reserve ahead of Monday night's matchup with the Cowboys.

Dickerson is all set to return to action after missing the team's last five games while recovering from a knee injury that he suffered in Week 1. The 28-year-old will be back in his starting role at left guard versus Dallas.

#81TE Grant Calcaterra Cleared
Updated

The Eagles activated Calcaterra (back) from injured reserve Monday.

Calcaterra has been cleared to play Monday night against Dallas, giving Philly another capable tight end behind Dallas Goedert. It's unclear how the playing time will shake out between blocker Johnny Mundt, catch-first rookie Eli Stowers and Calcaterra, but the Eagles could lean into the tight end-heavy sets with DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) both ruled out.
