#85TE Drew Ogletree QuestionableKnee
Updated

Ogletree (knee) did not participate at the Colts' practice Wednesday.

Ogletree opened the week on the sideline at practice as he continues to nurse a knee issue. The tight end was able to play through the injury during the team's 42-7 loss to the Jaguars in Week 8, and he will have two more chances to return to practice before potentially giving it a go again Sunday versus the Cowboys.

#14WR Alec Pierce IRHeel (left)
Estimated return Nov 29 Updated

When asked Wednesday when Pierce (heel) might be able to return to practice, Colts head coach Shane Steichen noted that he "can't put a timetable on it right now," Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.

Steichen said that Pierce, who has been on IR since Sept. 26, is currently rehabbing his injury, but the wideout's return is clearly not imminent. At 2-6, the Colts, who are already sellers ahead of the NFL trade deadline, have little incentive to rush Pierce back. Meanwhile, fellow WR Josh Downs has asked to be dealt, a situation that further clouds the team's pass-catching corps ahead of Week 9.

#29CB Cam Taylor-Britt IRGroin
Estimated return Nov 29 Updated

The Colts placed Taylor-Britt on injured reserve Tuesday due to a groin injury, Nathan Brown of The Indianapolis Star reports.

Taylor-Britt suffered the injury on the first play of the fourth quarter of Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Vikings. It's another blow to the Colts' secondary, given that the team was without Sauce Gardner (calf) during Sunday's game, and fellow defensive back Justin Walley sustained a knee injury during the contest. Taylor-Britt will be required to miss at least the next four games, so the earliest he can return is Week 12 against the Giants on Sunday, Nov. 29. Kenneth Harris and Kapena Gushiken are both in line for more defensive snaps in the absence of Taylor-Britt.

#98DE Arden Key IRHamstring
Estimated return Nov 15 Updated

The Colts placed Key (hamstring) on injured reserve Saturday.

Key sustained a hamstring injury against the Colts in Week 4, and the injury is severe enough for the veteran defensive lineman to warrant a stint on IR. He'll be required to miss at least four games, so the earliest Key can return is Week 9 against the Cowboys on Sunday, Nov. 8. Laiatu Latu, Jaylahn Tuimoloau and rookie fifth-rounder George Gumbs are all in line for more defensive snaps in Key's absence.

#72DE Micheal Clemons IRToe
Estimated return Nov 15 Updated

Clemons (toe) was placed on injured reserve by the Colts on Tuesday.

Clemons sustained a toe injury in the team's 33-30 overtime loss against Kansas City on Sunday night, and he will now be forced to miss at least four contests while recovering. His absence won't have a major impact on the team's defensive approach.

#2WR D.J. Montgomery IRAbdomen
Out for the season Updated

Montgomery (abdomen) was placed on injured reserve by the Colts on Sunday, JJ Stankevitz of the team's official website reports.

Montgomery signed with the team in early August, ultimately reeling in two of three targets for 21 yards during the preseason. The wide receiver appears to have picked up an abdominal injury at some point during the preseason, and he is now set to miss the entire 2026 campaign while on IR, unless he reaches an injury settlement with Indianapolis.

#50LB Bryce Boettcher Cleared
Updated

Boettcher (groin) was a full participant at the Colts' practice Wednesday.

Boettcher appears to be on track to return to action Sunday versus the Cowboys after missing the team's last two contests with a groin issue. The 24-year-old will likely be back in his starting role at strongside linebacker against Dallas.

#1CB Sauce Gardner Cleared
Updated

Gardner (calf) practiced in full Thursday.

Gardner departed Indianapolis' Week 6 loss to Tennessee due to a calf issue and didn't play Week 7 versus Minnesota. However, he practiced in a limited capacity this Wednesday, and with a full practice under his belt one day later, Gardner appears good to go for Sunday's clash in Jacksonville. That should be a big boost to the Colts' secondary after Cam Taylor-Britt (groin) landed on IR on Tuesday.

#53LB CJ Allen Cleared
Updated

Allen (ankle) was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's walkthrough.

Allen was unable to play against the Vikings in Week 7 due to an ankle injury, but his full practice designation Wednesday indicates that he'll be available for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. The rookie second-rounder has served in a rotational role so far this season, but James Boyd of The Athletic relays that Allen is expected to step into a starting role moving forward, which could mean less defensive snaps for Bryce Boettcher (groin) and Jaylon Carlies.

#25S A.J. Haulcy Cleared
Updated

Haulcy produced nine tackles (five solo) in a loss to the Vikings on Sunday.

The game was mostly centered on defense, and Haulcy helped Indianapolis hang close with a team-leading nine stops. That was a season-best mark for the rookie safety, who has taken on a starting role in his debut NFL campaign. Haulcy has logged 36 tackles and two defensed passes through seven contests.
